Been busy & Christmas 2018 approacheth!

Hi All,

Been a while since my last post, back in June.

Phew!

Where has the time gone???

We have been moving my in-laws, stuff with our kids, teaching & creating.

Plus feeding lots of people.

I have been creating kits to sell - my original Cross stitch designs & Free Form embroidery patterns.

You can find my designs for sale at ‘threadnuts’ on ETSY or at the shop on my website.

I’m madly printing & preparing for a teaching Weekend in Stanwell Tops on the 10th November.

In January, I will be travelling to Poatina in Tasmania to teach ‘Fibre Arts’ for a whole week.

Can’t wait!

This will include -

Stitching - learning the basics, then working on design development

Dyeing - natural, food colouring & commercial

Felting - wet & needle felting

We will be using silk, cotton, linen & 100% wool.

Flask cosy Part 2

As yu can see, I have tacked the batting to the felt.

Then using safety pins, I pinned the lining to the batting/felt layer.

Using over stitch I stitched all the layers together - folding the lining in as I went.

I stitched the base to the body of the cosy.

Next step, stitch up the main body.

At the moment the cosy is quite loose.

This will change as I begin to embroider it.

It will shrink as I go.  I will need to make sure it is evenly covered so the cosy is not distorted.

I'm not sure if I can do this on the plane, so it is packed into my luggage.

 I will post updates.
